PBL for digital natives

In reality, most students are far more tech savvy than their teachers. We may not be able to instruct them in the ‘how to’ of the latest gadget but we can introduce the principles of computational thinking.

Start with a question

1. Make the problems open ended

Try not to lead students towards what you want them to do: let them solve the problem the best way they see fit.

2. Separate thinking and executing

Help the students chunk tasks into manageable pieces.
