The flight plan window is one of several mechanisms that permit the creation, modification, display anddeletion of a FDR (Flight Data Record) or elements )thereof. A FDR is the collection of all informationpertinent to a flight, including, but not limited to, that whichbut not limited to, that which can be entered via the flight plan window.

There are several trackThere are several track label configurations:
•Limited label.N l l b l•Normal label.
•Fixed extended label.•Timeshare label.•Holding label.•RadTag label.

•The RAD TAG Window enables the manual creation of a label for tracks that are not coupled to a fflight plan record.
•Having filled in the RAD TAG di l i d f d i t d dialogue window for a designated track, the track label is displayed with the information entered into the RAD TAG dialogue entered into the RAD TAG dialogue window.

Radar Status Window
The Radar StatusThe Radar Status Window displays the status of radar links for each radar sensor. Theeach radar sensor. The Radar Status information is for display only and cannot p y ybe modified interactively. The Mode, Range and Azimuth can be changed.

The Traffic Planning function allowsThe Traffic Planning function allows the operator to define Traffic ACID-ACID links only for flight plans in any of the following states:
•Announced,•Hand-Over In,• Jurisdiction,• Hand-Over OutHand Over Out,•Post-Jurisdiction.
OHT13
The SSR Code Window displays the current definition of SSR code groups, an indication if the group is available for assignment and the assignment of those groups to categories of flight plan.

Warning messages can be generated when a warning i i i ll h h isituation arises as well as when the warning
situation is resolved. Hence, for each of the following warning situations, two messages may begenerated, one upon detection and one upon generated, one upon detection and one upon resolution of the warning situation.
• Radar Data Processing.•Flight Data Processing.R di P i•Recording Processing.
•Flight Plan Conflict Processing.•Operational LAN failure.•SSR emergency code warnings.g y g

MAESTRO is a multi-airport, multi-runway decision making tool to assist controllers in sequencing arrival traffic.Using real-time traffic data from the local Flight plan Data Processing system, MAESTRO:– Allocates each incoming flight to a destination runway;– Calculates the optimum Scheduled Time of Arrival, (STA), at the TMA feeder fix (STA-FF) and the runway threshold along with any TMA feeder fix (STA-FF) and the runway threshold along with any delays to be absorbed to achieve these times;– Generates and displays the sequence in a dedicated window on Controller Working Positions;– Provides the ACC and the approach controllers with suggested control actions to absorb any delays;– Allow controllers to interact with MAESTRO to reflect their personal strategypersonal strategy.

MAESTRO distributes controller workload and minimizes delays by providing control actions to expedite traffic into the TMA. At the same time controller decision making and responsibility is making and responsibility is maintained as MAESTRO only proposes actions and does not impose them on controllers.
