Lesson learned from SESP

• School is the best point to enter into community level

• School Earthquake Safety Program is a complete program

• Construction or Strengthening the school is important and attractive

Home Previous Next

Lesson learned from SESP

• SESP provided a platform to produce/promote appropriate technology

• Good practice for technology transfer/replication

• Management should cover people from all level

• Transparency plays vital role in community based programs

Home Previous Next

Lesson learned from SESP

• More attractive outcome are– Construction or retrofitting the school

– Training the masons

– Raising awareness of villagers

– Teaching the children, teachers and parents what to do about earthquake preparedness

• All extras come for a relative small increase in the cost of earthquake resistant construction or retrofitting
