realtà:

our story

E&R = WHEN SOCIAL GETS 'REAL'

Teachers' room founded by Laura Maffei,

Italian Ambassador (Tuscany) on Dec. 1st 2011

WHAT DOES THE REAL SCHOOL NEED?

A TEACHERS' ROOM SHOULD BE BASED ON:

• TEACHERS’ NEEDS

• TEACHERS’ COMPETENCES

IN ORDER TO:

• GIVE AN ANSWER TO DETECTED NEEDS

• SHOW THE BEST PRACTICES OF REAL SCHOOL

OBJECTIVES OF E&R:

• Form a group of Italian teachers who may communicate, cooperate and share

• Explore Italian teachers’ needs

• Discuss major issues and suggest solutions

E

SOME OF E&R’S FORUM THREADS:

• Where do Italian teachers meet to exchange ideas?

• How do you get your pupils work with their partners?

• What are the main problems you’ve had as an Etwinner?

• Etwinning and Comenius, is it better together?

• What does Etwinning add to the teaching/learning process?

• How many partners in the ideal project?

• Do you manage to do all your Etw. work in your curricolar classes?

• How did you find out about Etwinning?

• For ambassadors: why do we attend so many seminars and workshops and just few take an active part in Etwinning?

etc.....

CAPACITA' E IMPEGNO DEL TEAMCAPACITA'E IMPEGNO DEL TEAM

Open-minded and user-friendly environment:

- use of national language

- message-exchange between veterans and newcomers

- no-stress ( blend of passion, self-irony, irony...)

- sharing of useful material ( mobility forms, allowances, procedures, etc.)

OUTCOMES I:

• Document addressed to National Agency and Ministry ‘to get our work better'

• Tips for the improvement of the Twinspace

POSITIVE FIGURES:

• 145 contributors

• Most active room after helpdesk (more than 1900 posts in less than one year and all “to the point”)

• More than 6000 accesses for e-books

• Hundreds of downloads of shared docs

FUTURE PERSPECTIVES I:

• Reaching out to all Europe by translating our docs into other languages

• Devising other E-books with the contribution of our European partners and eTwinners

• Keeping on meeting up to share everyday school issues

FUTURE PERSPECTIVES II

• Going on debating topical issues regarding Italian and European school

TIPS .......

- A teachers' room should meet clear-cut needs

- Ask some colleagues for help

- Take care of your TR, a little every day, answering posts and adding new inputs

- Don’t stress and don’t get stressed (no 'tasks')
