meets the needs of both its pupils and the wider community through good use of all the resources available, both in house and with local partnerships.

To attain these outcomes all schools will offer core extended
services by 2010 – 50% schools by 2008

Extended schools are not expected to work alone or deliver services in isolation, but work together with the Local Authority and other agencies to deliver this agenda together
