1.Some of the events in this book are factual
experiences from WORLD WAR ll.
2.Timothy and Phillip used the stones they found on
the shore to tell the date since they found the island
three days after surviving on the raft. AS they were
attacked on April 6th 1942.
3.Phillip’s mother never liked black people, she said,
"Black people are different and they live differently.”
This story is based on racism like Phillip said to
Timothy, “Are you still black?” By saying this he
means I don’t care what colour you are on the
out side you are still my friend. Phillip
overcame Timothy’s colour on the outside and
only cares for what's on the INSIDE
