BOARD MEETING: Thursday, January 19 1 p.m.
A Message from Your Senior Club President,
Phil Ross:
Our annual meeting for election of officers and directors on
the December 6, 2019 was a success with dancing and dining
and a fresh start for the new year. Special mentions and our
appreciation in supporting the event go to: CSUF College of
the Arts, National Charity League Fullerton Chapter,
Souplantation, The Summit House, Gary Hering, Diane
Luna, and Audra Wright-Alderson. Appreciation is also
extended to Pauline Aguero for her two-year leadership as
our president; she will now continue to help the Club as the
Past President.
Planning for three parties during 2020 is underway by Phyllis
Levin, our Social Chairperson. She can always use new
volunteers for these events. This is one area where the Club
can improve – the employment of volunteers in the many
diverse activities in which the Club participates or sponsors.
This new task of contacting volunteers who fill out the
Volunteer Form and finding an appropriate slot for them will
now be handled by one person especially appointed to the
assignment.
As your new President, I will be making, with the Board’s
approval, new assignments to better support our mission in
serving seniors. Areas of interest include accounting,
computer maintenance, Club procedure documentation, and
new program development.
Welcome to the year 2020!

Spotlighting our Senior Club Members
Meet Lupe! Lupe has been a member
of the Senior Club for six years. She
was born and raised in Fullerton.
WOW, a real Fullertonian! She
graduated from Fullerton High
School—go “Indians!.” As a matter of
fact, she sees her old math teacher Mr.
Mel Bennett at the Fullerton Community Center and
she sometimes shares coffee with him. Lupe enjoys
playing bingo with her friends here at the Center. She is
an active volunteer in the community. Thank you,
Lupe, for being thoughtful and kind to our Seniors.
Let’s take a moment to celebrate the lives of . . .
