UNL institutional Repository to search & retrieve

thesis, dissertations and other scientific

publications like article reviews and conference proceedings.

To search thesis defended in Portugal see RCAAP and in

Europe see DART-Europe.

Did you know that … At the Library homepage you can go to the electronic

resources: eBooks, publications,databases, review articles,

thesis, other. To do it remotely install VPN (you’ll need user

name and password).

Access to biomedical publications, eBooks,

several databases and scientific reviews

subscribed by NMS|FCM (includes fulltext access to b-on

Subscriptions and others).

Enables metasearches in UNL Library

catalogues with fulltext access to

articles, chapters of books, databases, thesis in NOVA

repository RUN).

Medical Diagnosis and Treatment.

Portuguese Consortium provides fulltext access

to publisher’s reviews*: Annual Reviews, EBSCO,

Wiley, Elsevier, Springer/Nature and Taylor&Francis.

LIBRARY

The NMS|FCM Library is addressed mainly to internal users—

students, under and post-graduated, teachers, researchers

and staff.

In order to borrow, renew and reserve books, book a group

study room and print & scan documents you must have a

registration in user database and a library user card.

External users only can use the Library quiet study room

(Level -2) and computer room (Level –1), consulting books,

printing online searches, searching Internet or eletronic

resources as “walk in” users.

The studentes could request books after made a resgistration

in the users database (at Information Service Desk—Level 0)

BORROW RENEWALS

Items borrowed only can be renewed in previous or in the

same day ended the time for renewing, til three periods if the

item isn’t in the reserve list. The renewal can be made:

By email: emprestimo.bib@nms.unl.pt, including

please your full name and library card number.

The NMS|FCM Library deliver for internal users the find and

supplying of books (Interlibraray loans) and review articles

non-existant in Faculty collections.

The NMS|FCM Library provides at Level –1 some group study

rooms, who can b borrowed by students, teachers and

reserarchers (internal users)

Reservations may take place 8 days before: on site, by phone

or by email: agenda.bib@nms.unl.pt, or through the

formulary available online via Library website.

These rooms are for continuous study and users cann’t leave

the building without deliver the key in Services Information

Desk (Level 0).

Study rooms may be required from Monday to Friday, only

for one of the above use periods:

The Library provides user training sessions on searching

PubMed, Web of Science, Nova Discovery, SCOPUS and using

a reference citation manager like: EndNotebasic or Mendeley.
