Residential Project: Preliminary Design DrawingE. A. Lyke & Son Inc. Landscape And Pool Design Center

Hiji Concept 1 & 2

I visited the site with the Landscape Designer and took site measurements and evaluations. I imputed the measurements into Brics-CAD. I digitally color rendered the residential concept landscape plans by imputing the design form BricsCAD into SketchUp. The land-scape has two concepts for the client and Landscape Designer to review. I discuss the design over with the designer and built the 3-D components based off the design and existing features. I add little details like pots and BBQs from SketchUp’s online library and 3-D features I created. I learned a lot about creating 3-D features with the Arbor and fireplace design.

Plan view: I helped with site measurement, site documentation, and imputed measurements into BrisckCAD. I chose the hardscape and softscape materials colored in the plan view based on the Landscape Designer’s digital drawing. The plan view plant symbols were chosen by the designer and I imputed them into the design using LandFX and SketchUp. I designed the concept layout to show plant images.

3-D: I created the house and design features in SketchUp to show the new design. I built the existing split level planting areas and pool. I created the 3-D overhead structure from the designer’s 2-D drawing. The 3-D plant symbols were chosen by the designer and I imputed them into the design using LandFX and SketchUp. I added the outdoor furniture and people to finish the rendering.
