Course Description This course introduces you to major works in

western political thought We’ll examine key concepts like:

Equality Liberty Democracy Justice

Grading & Exams Papers Final Exam Participation

Papers 5 papers over the course of the semester 2 to 3 pages Can submit more than 5, I’ll take the best 5

Final Exam In-class affair Date and Time set by the University

16 May 2005 @ 7:00 pm Open Book/Open Note

Caveats Keep the chatter to a minimum Coffee, tea, or other beverages are ok. Save

the smelly, noisy, messy foods for outside class

No cells, beepers, pagers, iPods, mp3 players, cd players, etc., etc., etc.
