Check digit:
1. Start the digit on the right of the # (excluding the check digit), sum all the alternating digit values reading right to left.
2. Multiply the result of #1 by 3
3. Sum all the remaining digit values.
4. Add results of #2 & #3.
5. Check digit is the smallest # which when added to the result of #4 produces a multiple of 10.
Example:
480057300101 C
#1 1+1+0+7+0+8 = 17
#2 17 x 3 = 51
#3 0+0+3+5+0+4 = 12
#4 51+12 = 63
#5 63+7 = 70, therefore, 7 is the check digit.
