how to use canva to make a facebook cover photo

HOW TO USE CANVA

Open your browser then go to www.canva.com

You can either sign-up using your Facebook

account,

…sign-in with your Google account,

…or create your own account in Canva.

Enter your email address.

Enter your password.

Then click Sign-up.

Choose from the options on what would you like

…to use Canva for.

Welcome to your CanvaPage!

Here you can see pre-made designs that you

can use.

Click “More” for other designs.

If you want to make your own dimensions,

Click “Use custom dimensions”

Edit the width.

Edit the height.

Then click “Design!”

But for now, we’re going to use pre-made designs.

Just choose on what suits your project.

As a sample, I’ll be making a Facebook

Cover.

Click your chosen design,

…then you will be redirected to a new

page.

Lay-outs can either be free or paid.

Drag your chosen lay-out to the editing screen.

To edit the text, click on the textbox.

You can change its font style,

…adjust its font size,

…change its font color,

…delete the textbox,

…and adjust the alignment, text spacing

and others.

To adjust the text spacing, click..

…then click and drag the small circle to adjust,

…the letter spacing

…or the line height

You can also add/change the logo.

Click Uploads.

You can search for images

…or upload your own images.

Upload from your Facebook Account

…or from your Uploads folder.

Just click and drag the image you’ve chosen

…then adjust its size.

You can also adjust its transparency.

Then edit the other texts.

If you need to add another textbox,

…just click “Text” .

Then choose and click the textbox you want to

add.

But to save time and effort,

…you can just copy the other textboxes

…so that the same pattern would appear,

just click “Copy”

…then edit the text.

If you want to add a background,

…click “Background”

Then click and drag your chosen background.

When you’re done editing, you can now

share your project

…or download it

…or Make it Public.

Now let’s post our cover photo to Facebook.

Click “Post”.

Click “Share it Now”.

You have to log-in first to your Facebook

account.

And lastly, click “Share Link” .

Now you know the basics! Go and be

creative!
