o BACnet Web-Services supersedes BACnet/IP

o BACnet/IP: Or BACnet 2001. Conveys messages between BACnet LAN via IP using a technique called Tunneling. It supersedes BACnet 95.

o PICS: Protocol Implementation Conformance Statement. The capabilities of any particular device that should accompany that device.

o BIBBs: BACnet Interoperability Building Blocks. Each BIBB states what BACnet feature must be implemented for client or server to achieve communication. B-ASC and B-AAC are standard BIBB replacements.

What is PLC?What is PLC?What is PLC?

PLCs are miniature industrial computers that contain hardware and software that is used to perform control functions. A PLC consists of two basic sections: the central processing unit (CPU) and the input/output interface system.)

The first PLC can be traced back to 1968 when Bedford Associates, a company in Bedford, MA, developed a device called a Modular Digital Controller for General Motors (GM). .
