LITERATURE

“Quiero dormir un rato,un rato, un minuto, un siglo;

pero que todos sepan que no he muerto;que hay un establo de oro en mis labios;

MONUMENTS

The Alhambra in Granada is considered by many as one of the 10 wonders of the world. Its appeal lies

both in its interior, as its decoration is among the summits of Andalusian art,

as well as in their localization and adaptation, creating a new landscape but fully integrated with the existing

nature

Barcelona's Sagrada Familia is an unfinished temple of the great architect Antonio Gaudí. The work began in 1883 and the architect worked on

it until his death in 1926

The Aqueduct of Segovia is an impressive piece of Roman engineering. Its construction

dates back to the first and second centuries. Until almost the present day it has been providing water to the city of Segovia through a path

of more than 15 km, and more specifically, to its Alcázar.

The Monastery of El Escorial is one of the most unique Renaissance

architecture in Spain and Europe. It was devised in the late sixteenth century by King Felipe III, who conceived a large multifunctional complex that originated the Herrera style. It was considered, from the late sixteenth century, the

Eighth Wonder of the World, both in size and functional complexity and its huge

symbolic value.
