Biography● Draws inspiration from internet and

pop culture

● In one piece, Solo show in Sim City

(2011), Kim used the video game Sim

City 2000 to build different land

masses and buildings using the

game’s assets. He then used the

game’s artwork to create a series of

animated gifs

○ Update the script with your images

file name and type

○ Hit RUN

○ Your new image is pixel sorted and

saved.

Process - Pixel Sorting● You can change the modes of sorting

to yield different effects.

● Changing the modes tells the script

where to begin sorting and where to

stop in each column or row.

● If this didn't happen it would look like

a huge gradient. No interesting

patterns.

Process - Pixel Sorting● MODE 0 (Black Mode)

○ Script will begin sorting when it finds a

non-back pixel, and stop when it finds a

black pixel.

Process - Pixel Sorting● MODE 1 (Brightness Mode)

○ Script will begin sorting when it finds a

bright pixel, and stop when it finds a dark

pixel.

Process - Pixel Sorting● MODE 2 (White Mode)

○ Script will begin sorting when it finds a

non-white pixel, and stop when it finds a

white pixel.
