The overall design language strikes a fundamental tone by simplifying all expressions,

Technical Details

A specially designed steel under-frame connecting the legs to the table top is a functional

solution that acts as a track for all IT links above or below the table as well as offering a

horizontal cable dump with a big capacity. These connections can be easily achieved

through centralization of capacity on this beam which can be installed by any service team.

This allows a unique modularity as well as versatility, multiplicity, and easy customization

of the desk system for corporate brands.

Technical Details

A critical meeting topography is central to the proposed layout solutions in Partita in

terms of encouraging interaction in the work zones. Interaction between employees is

seen as a critical factor for organisational performance. The exchange of information and

knowledge not only helps to improve organisational learning and teamwork, but also

enhances social cohesion.

In a more collaborative work culture, it is critical that any table surface is planned and

located to be used for working and/or meeting at the same time. Both producers and

consumers are now enriching their overall product portfolios by feeding them with new

plug-ins and add-ons. This shift from product to process allows a designed piece like

Partita to be adapted over time according to personal needs and tastes.

Within the same design language meeting solutions are also presented. The meeting

table is designed with the same legs as the main design. Depending on the length of the

table, a vertical cable duct is placed at the very centre to carry all necessary wiring from

the floor grommets up to the vertical under-tray which is placed all the way along the

table. Access to the tray and all plugs is easily provided thanks to the flap doors placed

in the centre.

Calvino

Calvino is designed with the dichotomy in mind that a desk system developed for

everyone can not be personalised in reality. True Systems furniture will never look and feel

personal. However, Calvino aims to invoke a warm empathy, trying to motivate the user

emotionally. In this approach the search for a perfect system is substituted by more

relaxed, unattached, interchangable and independent pieces. The soft curves and thin

edges of Calvino’s simple and naive shapes evoke powerful and raw emotions; more

up-lifting than the use of homogenous sharp and industrial systems design language.

The program was developed as a novel concept for companies who have environments

where they want to embrace new ways of working. The brief for the project was to

“erase the industrial memory”. This erasure takes physical form by optically reducing

table top thicknesses and softening the support legs. Instead of the ubiquitous 18-25mm

composite desktop thickness one experiences only an attractive thin line of 4mm of top

surface joining with 2mm of tapering aluminium support frame. The legs are not a

rectangular section with a sharp corner, but tubular limbs that meld seamlessly into the

soft profile of the structural under-frame. All desktop accessories are either self standing

- easily removed at any time with the minimal use of tools - or positioned to the edges of

the table frame on two deliberately thin legs.

The design’s inherent qualities can present themselves silently in many colours but even

in the icy absence of colour. Through a play of shades from using matt and gloss white

finishes Calvino creates and presents its aura. This monotone design opportunity can

relate to its surrounding environment silently without representing a competitive or

oppressive tone.

Technical Details

Calvino layouts are always permeable spaces where concentration is achievable across

many designated workplaces thanks to specialised desktop accessories and cabinets.

Workspace division and designation is refinable due to a selection of different cabinets

and combinations. Many layouts can be softened by the introduction of seating groups

that break up the “factory farm” or “production line” agitations generally created by

workstations. The open approach promotes freedom and communication throughout the

different work functions of the company team, creating more motivational interaction.

Calvino represents a new proposition for a single desk for the individual. It offers something

personal for a new worker profile with much higher qualities than before, and recognises

that the corporate level between mid-management and operator is slowly blurring.

The program can grow into 2 or 4 person workstations as well as into a bench system.

Calvino proposes a method to create the transformation of a work zone; desks can be

configured as easily as they can be subsequently separated for different work styles.

Thanks to the structural qualities of Calvino, a seamless bench can be conceived with a

unique aesthetic. The extrusion profiles and injected corners can be the basis of a

6 person bench framed by one extrusion along the full length, as well as offering the

added possibilities to attach any of the systems accessories; shelves, screens, lights or

box files. The cables are carried from the floor box to the table with the vertical power

ducts that also help support the elegant structure.

For a manager’s workstation Calvino focuses on social relations rather than just

directorial priorities. A new 21st century manager has emerged who is a visionary leader

and relentlessly forges forwards in the battlefields of life together with work comrades.

Emotionally fuelling the team and energising their creative potential.

Calvino translates and paraphrases the emotional language of furniture, removing and

denying all connotations of the corporeal, rigid world of “the office”. The shapes and

detailing offer an optical, cartoon-like naievity over an intelligent but rigid frame. The soft,

rounded edges of letter trays, and storage boxes open on both sides, the primitive look

of the bent sheet shelf, or the mini-screens that open like japanese geisha fans, all add to

this visual smorgesbord.

Within the boundaries of the unique frame, different finishes of desktop materials can

co-exist defining functional zones in an elegant design.

Barbari

Barbari is presented with simple and basic layers in multiple composition possibilities.

The combination of tables, cabinets and panels in this program are all designed in an

integrated language. In collaboration with the soft panels, one can easily find harbours to

hide away and concentrate in, even in an open plan layout.

Increasing amounts of research has proved that a fully open work area creates greater

stress and limits the ability of employees to concentrate on their own tasks. The Barbari

program presents the option of the system as building blocks that can easily be assembled

and disassembled. These blocks in soft appearance that can be used in combination are

a critical part of the design, and one which will enable the architect to customise the system

with colours and textures to create a strong & unique character.

Barbari is a progression on the idea of the “frame and desktop” relationship that was

initially designed for Calvino. The structure of the system has an expressive language

presenting all typically concealed details as a part of the design’s aesthetic. The desktop,

corner detail and frame profile present a graphic language expressing their symbiotic

relationship despite the available use of different combinations of colour and finish. The

same idea is followed above the desktop which serves both as a division screen and as

a personal storage space through using flat clip-on trays.

Using the same design language of Barbari, meeting solutions are also available. The

Barbari meeting table is designed with the same legs articulated for the main design,

depending on the length of the table, a vertical cable duct is placed at the very centre to

is fitted all the way along the table. Access to the trays (and plug sockets etc) is easily

provided thanks to the flap doors placed in the centre.

Gazel table stands out by its simple and elegant lines. Designed for executive offices,

Gazel is presented in 3 length alternatives as 240, 300 and 350 cm. The series also

include additional components like storage systems and TV units for executive rooms.

Gazel with its optional hanging pedestals gives the impression of a table standing in the

air through its unique features like thick surface and metal legs positioned behind the

side and front panels. It is also good to combine with Gazel sofa for executive rooms.

Having thin legs with natural finish, Pera is designed in classical style for executive offices.

Top surface, side panels and fixed hanging pedestal are given in various length

dimensions of 180, 200 and 220 cm. The product family is also composed of waiting

tables, storage systems and TV units.

Pera series stand out through its special patterns that are produced by special laser cut

technique and applied on table top, front panels, sideboards and TV units. They all bring

a fresh approach to conventional culture of working.

Power plugs are easy to access via the sliding wrist pad made of natural leather. Inner

surfaces of pedestals are covered with fabrics to avoid the risk of scratching. These

fabrics also reduce the potential noise caused by the use of drawers.

Quo Vadis

Quo Vadis, distinguished by its geometric structure and simplicity, bears the stamp of the

Studio Kairos, an all architect design team from Milano.

This archetypal desk consists of a wooden tabletop resting on an aluminium frame of

unique design. Modesty panels and under-desk caisson-drawers may be added on

request. The top surface descends from the legs at the corners like a one-piece tome.

The material thickness at the edges of the desk is well hidden by the smartly designed

details of the aluminium frame and corner connections.

In principle, Quo Vadis presents a very inviting character, communicating less of a

hierarchical tone but more of a collaborative attitude. Either the executive’s desk or

the meeting tables are all easy to approach from all sides and do not dictate a

volumetric language.

Upon request a front modesty panel or a set of drawer units can be provided within the

system. The drawer unit can be fitted under either one or both sides. The treatment of

the drawer unit edge detail is in direct correlation with the table.

The simplicity and elegance of the design breathes through all the details in the

programme. Access to cable management is provided by a simple flap on the desktop

which has the same surface finish. The frame is an anodized aluminium finish with the

desktop in walnut or white oak with a natural surface finish.

Technical Details

Altar is a meeting table series presenting various models to fulfill needs of meeting

groups ranging from 4 to 22 participants. Its surface is designed in oval form to enhance

the communication and dialogue of users. Table top covered either by natural wood or

laminate has a 14 mm thickness.

Models with natural finish sustain the natural look and feel on their cable covers as well,

where the covers in laminate covered models are same as the table’s legs that are made

of sheet metal with anthracite epoxy paint. Altar’s cable management system is designed

in a special way to keep cables going peacefully along the inner-legs and particular paths

below top surfaces, so that each user has easy access to power plugs through cable nests.

from within, that can help each cabinet to fit any uneven floors.

Large drawers and racks emerge when Rarum’s closed boxes are opened. Spaces

between the boxes create an additional display area that enriches the atmosphere of any

environment. Offering modular flexibility and easily adapting to its environment, Rarum

adds aesthetic value to storage as much as it does to its display capacity.

Plato is a design that accommodates the display and storage of books and magazines. It

offers special solution opportunities with its rich accessory, material, and size options,

while making it easier to utilize space more efficiently. Thanks to its potential use as a one

or two-sided design, Plato also divides space effectively.

side by side in different combinations.

Sketches by Gerhard Reichert

Gala, who was the renowned muse of Paul Eluard and then Salvador Dali has now been

the inspiration for this novel task chair design. The chair’s technically advanced details are

all concealed behind Gala’s overtly feminine sensuality, and its form exudes a seductive

charm from all views.

As the most particular characteristic of the chair, the back frame of Gala, changes its shape

and sectional direction in accordance with the applications of different body-weights and

relative forces. Just as the trees in coastal regions have a different oval-shaped form due

to a continual exposure to gales, the section of the supporting back frame also has an

alternating section throughout its overall structure. Extraneous detail has been sculpted

away by design so that an organic shape results.

The knitted fabric on the back frame supports the whole of the user’s back but also

elevates Gala’s feminine look and organic aesthetic. The patented fabric mesh has a very

unique structure and high resilience, providing perfect support in the lumbar region by

adapting to the unique shape of the spine of the user. The self-protective structure of the

special fabric, which avoids the expansion of any holes and punctures, even under

pressure, also gives it a unique functional quality.

The back frame design of Gala allows for the choice of either black or white fabric at the

rear to coordinate with frame colour, although the inner fabric is black as standard. The

choice of the inner fabric, determined by the requirement of the lumbar support and

tensile strength qualities, is available in a limited selection of colours. The outer fabric has

a more decorative style with a unique texture.

Technical Details

Gala is designed with two parallel attitudes; one looking inward and the other outward.

The inner looking characteristic concerns ergonomic features and personal adaptation to

the human body; the seat, the back and lumbar support, the use of buttons for mechanism

control, and the back support with the mass-compensation synchro-balance mechanism

which automatically adapts to each user’s weigh. The outward characteristic is a design

that complements a diverse set of environments thanks to its organic but refined outlines.

Technical Details

Gala’s function levers are uniquely located in a visible plastic skirt surrounding the seat

pan. Instead of searching for a set handles under a seat, the user can see and operate

the mechanisms simply. This feature makes it much easier for the user to control the

adjustments.

Adjustable accessories are also available as adaptations to Gala; fixed armrests of

original design, 2-D adjustable armrests, or a headrest option, are available without any

compromise to the integrity of the composition.

Technical Details

All the parts that form the skeleton of Gala are available in white; so the fixed armrest,

chair adjustment mechanism and frame can be formed from white as well as black. The

5-star bases are presented in aluminium polished finishes as well as glass reinforced

polyamide in black or optionally white finish. Another alternative presented by Gala is the

specially designed castors that rotate around a hollow centre; these special wheels are

only available for polished or white bases.

A special fabric can be selected for the seat pan which has a unique texture with several

layers that provide for optimum ventilation, providing a healthy alternative for regulating

Tola is a fresh proposition for a democratic work habitat where the distinctions between

the executive, management and working teams are fading. The basic idea for this new

chair platform is best presented in designer’s own words;

Human’s environment mirrors their personality, and people with character need equivalent

furniture. The design of Tola chair started with thinking about the people who would sit in.

We imagined people, that are individual, flexible and liberal, who are more interested in a

chair, that becomes a lifelong friend, than in a purely imposing piece of furniture.

Anitta

Anitta is a chair family designed for executive, meeting, and conference spaces. Anitta’s

office chairs have a synchronous mechanism and they offer different height options for the

backrest. Anitta has four different complementary models: visitor chairs, meeting chairs,

conference chairs and chairs with fixed starbase legs. Upholstery options are fabric,

genuine or artificial leather. Anitta meeting chairs’ seat and backrest parts form one piece

from top to bottom. They have the same backrest height with Anitta office chairs.

Meeting chairs come with the options of fixed legs or on casters.

Technical Details

Anitta visitor chair series bear the family’s defining characteristics, with the seat and

backrest parts being one piece from top to bottom. Visitor chairs have the same backrest

height with executive chairs. Visitor chairs come with the options of fixed legs or on casters.

Visitor chairs with fixed, star-based legs offer two height alternatives for backrest, just like

the executive chairs. Anitta can return to its original position after swiveling 180 degrees

left and right thanks to its position protector mechanism. At the same time, it can return

to its original height once the sitter stands up.

Anitta conference chair has a special mechanism that keeps the seat closed when it is

not in use. Two juxtaposed conference chairs stand on three legs at the starting, middle,

and end points. These legs can be mounted on floors as well as on platforms.

Conference chairs have an optional writing tablet component. Genuine leather, artificial

leather or fabric is used in conference chairs’ upholstery.

synchronous mechanism alternative. Tristan, which stands out for its innovative style,

was designed by Gerhard Reichert and Eckhard Hansen in 2000. Designed to meet the

various needs of different work cultures, Tristan is a large family consisting of operational,

manager, executive and visitor armchairs as well as meeting and seminar models. It gives

a characteristic look to communal spaces in workplaces.

Seminar group comes with an optional writing tablet. Seminar chairs without writing tablets

only come in polypropylene backrest. These series are designed without writing tablets

for ensuring easy stacking of chairs. Series that have writing tablets have the upholstered

backrest option. Writing tablet can be on either side of the chair. Since writing tablets are

anti-panic, they fold and drop to the side of the chair in an emergency situation. As the

writing tablets are movable, they can be removed after use, making it easy to stack the

chairs. Seminar chairs come with a carrying trolley to ensure easy transport after stacking.

Tristan’s one of the most prominent characteristics is its slotted backrest design inspired

Dastan

Standing out for its simple look, Dastan is an office chair family that is designed to offer

style to suit the seating cushion’s upholstery, which comes in fabric only.

Hanedan is designed for executive areas, with a solid wood framing of the sofa all around

Serdivan from the Babil family gets the inspiration from the patterns of 500 year-old Babil

Pasenow is an armchair and sofa series offering rich composition opportunities with its

modular units. The design may also be used as a single unit, depending on both layout

requirements and possibilities. With a variety of materials and colours, Pasenow easily

creates diverse spaces. The angle formed at the arm and back connection is the mark of

Pasenow’s design identity.

Tamina is designed to bring an economical option for comfortable offices and workplaces.

Tellasmar

Tellasmar is a seating group designed for waiting zones or as welcoming units in work

areas. The design presents its purity and comfort with its concealed angle in the seat and

a soft back. The sculpted arms and back provides a great advantage in layouts in terms

of space saving. Produced in different sizes, Tellesmar’s elegant bearing structure with

chrome plating is consistent with its thin lines.

Narcissus

Narcissus is a coffee table designed for use with executive groups; for waiting, welcoming

and lounge zones. With its marble, glass, or wooden tabletop options and its special leg

design, Narcissus offers solutions that meet the needs of various executive levels.

Plinth

Plinth is an side table designed with work and common areas in mind.

The combination of two different units in veneer or glass gives this design a natural

warmth. Plinth accommodates a service area at equal height with any surrounding

seating arrangements.

Bremen

Bremen table can easily be used in waiting halls or multiple working areas and also could

be an alternative for narrow places. It has three differently shaped trays, but all have same

metal supported legs and can be stacked into each other. Bremen tables are easy to use

as subsidiary units and their stackable feature helps to save space in offices.

Matching the minimalist appearance, Ova table attracts the attention with natural

covering on the surface. It has alternatives in square, rectangular, round and oval. Ova

table can be considered particularly for managers or waiting halls.

Apart from square, rectangular, ellipse designs, glass surface comes as an option. It can

turn round 360 degrees and becomes a functional alternative to reach to the whole

surface. Ova table can be produced in different dimensions in order to be used in the

middle or at side and it features a unique leg design.

Megaron

Megaron is designed as an abstract way of defining space in the open layout. The series

is designed around the principles of “open work” where designers can organise the layout,

height, composition as well as the colours & textures of each single panel.

Megaron’s mainframe is constructed with a very light inner metal core structure;

aluminium extruded covers, and vertical steel tubes. This structure is then covered by

individually upholstered panels. Each single tile can be planned in a different colour, and

the tiles can be configured either in a vertical line or in a brick tile pattern.

Milonga

Milonga is a very light and innovative system to create transparent division of space in

work zones. The detailing of the system allows a very simple and slim system to frame

meters of seamless glass panels without any vertical interruption.

Milonga is designed in the puritan’s view where any ornament is avoided, but all joints are

presented as themselves. Within the same language, door systems with hinges and

sliding mechanisms are introduced.
