SRM/SRA DEFINITIONS

Safety Risk Assessment (SRA) is the risk assessment comprised of a panel of Subject Matter Experts.

Safety Risk Management (SRM) is the process of identifying hazards, analyzing and assessing the risks, and mitigating the risks. Safety Management System (SMS) is the overall program. The FAA is implementing SMS internally (5200.11) and externally (NPRM / AC150/5200-37)
