Exercise can help you become healthy and stay healthy.

There are two kinds of exercise

Aerobic exerciseAnaerobic exercise

How does aerobic exercise make us healthy?

Aerobic exercise burns fat. Aerobic exercise makes a healthy heart.Aerobic exercise makes healthy lungs.

How do you feel when you do this type of exercise?

Aerobic exercise makes you breathe faster.

Aerobic exercise makes your heart beat faster and harder.

You should be able to sing a song or talk to your friend while you exercise.

How long should you do aerobic exercise?

At least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise three or more times per week.

You do not need to exercise for 30 minutes at one time.

You can exercise in groups of 30 minutes; such as three 10 minute groups.

What kinds of exercises and activities are aerobic?walking (fast) basketballbicycling cross-country skiing hockey skating jogging karate soccer swimming tennis

The good things about aerobic exercise.

The body burns more fat all the time - even when you are resting!

The heart becomes stronger.The lungs become stronger.

The difficult things about aerobic exercise.

You do not have time.You may not have a friend to help you

exercise.You do not have a place to exercise.

Anaerobic exercise

It is very different from aerobic exercise but just as important.

How does anaerobic exercise make us healthy?

Anaerobic exercise makes muscles bigger.

Bigger muscles make us stronger.Bigger muscles burn more calories.Using more calories helps to keep us thin.

How do you feel when you do anaerobic exercise?

Anaerobic exercise makes you breathe faster.

Anaerobic exercise makes your heart beat faster and harder.

You cannot sing a song or talk to your friend while you exercise and you may feel like you cannot breathe.

How long should you do aerobic exercise?

At least two to three times per week.

What kinds of exercises and activities are anaerobic?

When should you stop exercising?
