Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?

Mexico, Central America, & South America

Each team has it’s own question board and its own questions. On the next slide, it will ask you whether you want to go to Team 1’s scoreboard or Team 2’s scoreboard. After a question is answered, the game will return to that team’s question board. Click on the button at the lower left to go to the other team’s question board.

Each team has two questions for each grade level (1-5) and a $100,00 question. As the questions move higher in grade, the questions get harder. When a team chooses a question, click on the button for that question. When the team has their answer, click on “Lock In.” This will take you to the answer to the question. If the team has gotten the answer right, click on “Passed School.” If the team has not gotten the answer right, click on “Failed School.”

Each team has three lifelines – “Peek,” “Copy,” and “Save.” It is up to the teacher to keep track of which lifelines the team has used and which lifelines the team has left. “Peek” means that the team can look at the fifth grader’s answer (each grade has its own fifth grader) and decide whether or not they would like to use it. “Copy” means that the team answers what the fifth grader answered – even if the answer is wrong! “Save” means that the answer is given to the team, but be careful, you only get one!

If a team “fails school”, then they lose the game. Whichever team either makes it to the $100,000 question, or stays in the game the longest, wins!
