translated into four dif-ferent languages including mauri, ‘mole’ was initially inspired by an elephant los-ing his balloon. originally a prolific 150 page long novel
featuring an internal dialogue between mole and his rapidly cooling cup of echo, ‘mole’ was drastical-ly edited to a more digestable 13 pages following close scrutiny by the 3-4 year reader group.
for his work on ‘mole’ jahn has won the miles franklin award and been shortlisted for the 2009 booker prize.
