In 2013, the Montgomery United Fund For You assisted 11,095 Montgomery County citizens.

In 2014, we asked some of those people why MUFFY matters to them.

MUFFY made a difference in the lives of thousands of people because YOU invested in MUFFY.

MUFFY is the only nonprofit organization in Montgomery County authorized to collect funds through payroll deduction.

David Johnson

Payroll deduction authorizes your company to take a small amount from your salary each pay period and forward it to MUFFY.

MUFFY then distributes the funds to its partner organizations every month, giving them a steady stream of income with which to help those in need.

MUFFY allocated funds to 18 nonprofit organizations in 2014.

• Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County• Boy Scouts: Crossroads of America Council• Girl Scouts of Central Indiana• Montgomery County Youth Camps, Inc.• Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau• American Red Cross of Montgomery County• Montgomery County Community Chest• The Salvation Army• Abilities Services, Inc.• Sunshine Vans

• Family Crisis Shelter• Volunteers for Mental Health of Montgomery Co.• The PEERS Project• CARA (Crawfordsville Adult Resource Academy)• Willson Family Literacy Preschool• Head Start• Dr. Mary Ludwig Free Clinic• New Beginnings Child Care

“All of your hard work is allowing the Youth Service Bureau to advocate for abused and neglected children, prevent child abuse, mentor at-risk boys and girls, give second chances to Teen Court clients and allows us to give back to the community through Youth As Resources grants. All of those things will be possible because of MUFFY.”

--Karen Branch, Youth Service Bureau

“I am on welfare to support my family; however, I now see an end to this because of [the CARA] program. With this program I can get up everyday and go to school and show my children how important it is in life.”

--Crawfordsville Adult Resource Academy client

“I had the blessing to talk with a family after they had lost their home to a fire. I noticed their little 4-year-old girl, who came up to me and said

‘Who loves us this much to help us? They don’t even know us!’

Isn’t it a wonderful thing to assist our neighbors in their time of need?”

--Denise Maxwell, American Red Cross

You’ve been given a MUFFY brochure and pledge form. To make a payroll deduction pledge, please fill out the Donor Identification information on the left side of the pledge form. If you check the Payroll Deduction box, please enter the amount you would like to give to MUFFY each pay check and the number of pay periods in the year. You can also give a one-time gift via cash or check, or authorize MUFFY to bill you in installments.

At the right, you can specify where you would like your donation to be given. “Community Care” donations will be divided between MUFFY’s 16 Partner Agencies, while “Focused Care” can be directed to any nonprofit human service organization.

Please sign and date the form and turn it in to your Campaign Coordinator.

The Montgomery United Fund For You benefits from donations and payroll deductions from Montgomery County’s biggest industries as well as local-minded small businesses, professionals, residents and our area’s robust agricultural community.

For forty-five years, MUFFY has harnessed the power and the generosity of these people to help eradicate issues of maltreatment, economic disadvantage and impairment by funding the organizations that make a difference.

MUFFY matters. And your donation matters to us.
