It all begins to grows from the same place…My Philosophy of Education
Inspiring, encouraging and supporting learners to realize their individual potential to become their best selves. To awaken every child's motivation and realization that they have what it takes to become their most capable, confident, creative, and empowered selves. To equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge and self awareness to go out into the world and be the most successful, innovative, fulfilled and happy individuals they can be.
Making the connection between Education and Technology philosophies
My philosophy on technology has evolved and grown exponentially over the course of four months. In the beginning I wasn’t able to use the most basic of technological tools. Looking back, I wouldn’t have imagined that I was able to learn as much as I did through the help of instructors and support provided.
Making the connection between Education and Technology philosophies
Since, my own confidence and skill level has grown and with it a whole new lens in which to approach education and incorporate technology into the process of supporting, engaging and innovating learners in their own pursuit of knowledge.
Evidence and growth of my understanding of technology
Module 2 Professional learning networks using Padlet
Module 10 using screen-o-matic to create and post my own you tube video regarding the maker movement
How this will impact me as a Teacher
Learning about technology throughout this class has been at times, overwhelming, challenging yet one of the most beneficial and eye opening experiences to date in my pursuit in becoming a teacher. Without this class and the support and dedication of the people involved I honestly question whether I would have been able to see it through.
The amount of exposure, interaction and hands on learning with regards to the extensive variety of technology that was demonstrated and learned would never have happened on my on. Reflecting back how technology is becoming more heavily woven within the fabric of education, I cant imagine how I would be able to provide or be any where near the point of integrating it into my own classroom. Thanks to this class, the instructors and the support staff, I learned more than I ever thought id learn about technology. Additionally, I now feel confident in saying that I have the skills and knowledge and PLNs to incorporate the use of technology in my classroom to communicate, engage, enhance, create and support students learningtoday as well as in the future where that emphasis is only growing.
