considered to be of potential
risk to human health.
• Allergy, itchy skin

What is natural dyeing
We use natural dyestuff extracted from plants like trees, flowers, and etc.
We’ve been developing optimum recipe to minimize the consumption of chemicals and energy.
The colors of natural dyeing look like nature, so they are very beautiful and comfortable.
What is natural dyeing
• A chemical dye, as a substance of the refined dye, or as a mixture, it can make sharp, intense colors, and maintain the colors as well.
• On the other hand, the majority of the natural dyes contain various elements because this is natural material. Therefore it is difficult to maintain a vivid and leveling color. And most are represented by 'earthy color tone‘. (But, Indigo and gardenia are exceptional, they can be relatively bright colors.)
• The ingredients of the natural dyes have effects on the plantations and the climates. This means that even if the dye stuff are the same, the color differences can occur.

MORDANT, the part of Natural Dyeing
1.1 Definition of MORDANT in Natural dyeing
Mordant helps natural dyestuff and fabric combining well
and increase dyeing affinity.
1.2 The role of Mordant
1) Adsorption : helps natural dyestuff adsorb on fabric
2) Fixing : Helps natural dyestuff keep fixed on fabric
3) Color formation : Multi-colored natural dyestuff presents different colors depending on the types of mordant.
1.3 What Mordants VISIONLAND uses
1) Aluminium Sulfate / Al₂(SO₄)₃·14-18H₂O
① The colorless crystal that melt in water, acid and alkali.
② Purpose : Mordant, foam extinguishing media, medicine, coagulant etc,.
2) Ferrous Sulphate / FeSO₄·7H₂O
① The light green crystal, slightly melt in water but after hydrolyze it colors green.
② Purpose : Mordant, reducing agent, preservative, blue pigment or ink

NAME OF MORDANT Aluminium Sulfate / Al₂(SO₄)₃·14-18H₂O
CAS NO 7784-31-8
Specified water toxic substance – N/A
1. Purpose for Aluminium
① Use as a coagulant for wastewater treatment or water filter.
– it causes suspended impurities to coagulate into larger particles and then settle to the bottom of the container (or be filtered out) more easily.
② Use for remove Green Algae
Alum removes the phosphates that algae consume, no food for the algae to eat makes it harder for green algae
NAME OF MORDANT Ferrous Sulphate / Fe(SO₄)·7H₂O
CAS NO 7782-63-0Specified water toxic substance – N/A
1. Purpose for Ferrous
① Use as a coagulant for wastewater treatment
– it causes suspended impurities to coagulate into larger particles and then settle to the bottom of the container (or be filtered out) more easily.
② One of the 10 essential nutrients for plants
– Ferrous is one of the 10 essential nutrients(oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, potassium, magnesium, sulfur, phosphorus, Ferrous) for plants.
– It is necessary for formation of chlorophyll. Causes the etiolation chlorosis when lack of Ferrous.
– Ferrous needs for the living things breathing.
Etiolation Chlorosis : a process in flowering plants grown in partial or complete absence of light. It is characterized by long, weak stems; smaller leaves due to longer internodes; and a pale yellow color
