The 28th Annual Advances in Urology meeting is designed for practicing urologists who are interested in updating their knowledge in the diagnosis, evaluation and management of urologic problems. A distinguished faculty will present advances in the management of urological problems including uro-oncology, sexual function, laparoendoscopic, robotic, minimally invasive surgery, prostate and bladder cancer and reconstructive surgery with a strong emphasis on the technical aspects of various urological procedures. Also provided will be health policy, workforce utilizations of allied health providers, and update for practicing urologists on skills enhancement through simulation.
• Summarize the options for treatment of patients with pelvic organ prolapse and female stress incontinence• Describe the treatment options for patients with complications of pelvic radiation• Determine the best surgical management of patients with nephrolithiasis• Provide an update in the surgical management of BPH• Summarize strategies to implement quality improvement and patient safety in Urology.• Describe evidence-based management of reconstructive urology patients.• Discuss the role of robotics in reconstructive urology.
• Identify the role of transgender urology.• Summarize controversies in testosterone therapy.• Discuss intravesical therapies for non- muscle invasive bladder cancer.• Recognize current health policy and billing/ coding guidelines in Urology.• Recognize the role of multiparametric MRI and other novel imaging studies prostate cancer.• Summarize Image-guided Focal Prostate Cancer Therapies• Discuss advances in robotic partial nephrectomy
