HALEY IS A STUDENT IN THE WELDING PROGRAM. HERE’S WHAT SHE HAS TO SAY ABOUT TEC…

When I first visited the welding program and saw the sparks, I was won over!”

TEC helps you see if a career area is the right fit for you. It’s a place where you will learn more than you expect.”

TEC is never-ending education. It’s never-ending learning. You’re always learning something new.”

TEC gives you the big leap in life that you need to get ready for college and your career.”

TEC combines traditional courses with career-focused learning to prepare students for college and careers. The hands-on experience makes classes more engaging, more interesting and more meaningful.

Join TEC teachers and students at the TEC Open House Feb. 8 to learn more about the opportunities available

to St. Clair County students in 11th and 12th grades.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY at TEC to earn certifications that demonstrate your mastery of technical skills, employability skills, and academic skills.

TEC encourages 10th-graders who are considering TEC to spend a session shadowing a program. This allows you to meet the teacher and current students, ask questions, look around, and get comfortable with all of the opportunities at TEC.

Contact your high school counselor to arrange your visit.

Clubs and Organizations

TEC students participate in clubs such as the National Technical Honor Society, compete for national awards through SkillsUSA and HOSA, and get to know other students from across the county who share a passion for learning that is relevant, engaging, and hands-on.
