Soundtrack In order to be able to create a
fitting soundtrack to coincide
with our film’s genre, research
into how other film makers
have accomplished this has
been carried out.
Jeepers Creepers Soundtrack
Scream 3 Soundtrack
IKWYDLS Soundtrack
The Hole Soundtrack
Final Destination Soundtrack
The research revealed that many of the songs used in these films were created by one person, this allowed the producers to spend less money on the sound as they would not have to seek publishing rights, this will be the basis of our soundtrack. Another common denominator is the use of contrapuntal music, this allows more realism to a scene but also a slight edge of comedy. The music often dictates what is happening in the scene, or when something bad is occurring for example in Jeepers Creepers, the song “Jeepers Creepers” plays when ever something bad is about to happen.
Example soundtracks of horrors
CameraJeepers Creepers• Close up- to show emotion.• Extreme long shots- set the
location, can give the audience a sense of isolation.
• Dutch Angle- disorientation.• Tracking Shots- for chase
scenes
• High Angle- show lack of power to the character.

Editing
Definition: Film editing is an art of storytelling practised by connecting two or more shots together to form a sequence. Our film will incorporate continuity editing, using such techniques as the 180 degree rule, Establishing shot, and Shot reverse shot. As keeping with the horror theme the use of snappy cut shots to emphasise quick thrilling movements. Special FX are often used in horrors to add that extra bit of wow factor and realism in scary scenes, and example of this is when the beast in Jeepers Creepers flies.
A average18 year old teenager named Jake, one day Jake gets a message on his computer from someone unknown which says “ I
know what you’ve done” Later in the week Jake see a shadowy figure everywhere he goes. Where he later founds out its his best friend
whole plots to kill everyone he knows around him.
