Day of Thunder

They Started streaming into the

grounds as early as 8am

Manifestation & Demonstration of a

People and Nation yearning for and in quest of

Change

THIRD & FINAL LIBERATION

Supporters painted Uhuru Park with their party’s

colours

They turned up in large numbers for launch of

presidential campaign

Draped in party T-shirts, caps and anything orange

Every other time the crowd would overwhelm the security

The crowds took over all the space, including the concrete

area next to the dias

The crowd resorted to hoisting those who wanted

to leave the area high as there was no space to walk.

The crowd dislocated the media from the space

allocated next to the dias

Several people were stretched out of the grounds after they

lost their breath in the scorching sun.

The otherwise peaceful crowd persevered the scorching sun as

they waited

Ibrahim Ahmed Yusuf popularly

known as Johnny came riding on a

camel and holding

a hammer

Dr Dan Shikanda, a former national soccer star who is eyeing the Makadara seat, entered into the grounds kicking a

ball.

The ODM pentagon members arrived riding on a bus painted with the orange colours amid

cheers from the crowd

The cheering reached its peak when Health minister and Narc chairperson

Charity Ngilu arrived at the venue

A sea of humanity estimated at about 400,000. Like safari ants, though small, they move as a ground army, can evict a

serpent that has taken over a bird’s nest.

orange colours amid cheers from the crowd

“We want change that is genuine, we voted in 2002 for leaders who have not been truthful. This year, we want to vote for Raila because he understands the ordinary man’s problem. But the one we gave the vote is not for

change,” Mrs Ngilu said

Raila reminded Kenyans that around this time, five years ago, he pronounced

Kibaki Tosha and was now declaring Kibaki

Toka (out). He declared that it was time for him to

retire honourably.

President Kibaki should leave because he has failed the exam that Kenyans set for him in 2002.

We are at the verge of the birth of the Third Republic and now we are together moving towards the completion of this otherwise most extended journey.

I call upon Kenya’s great sons, daughters, men and women to rise with courage and hope to this new beginning. Let us all be strong and of good courage without fear.

“I am supporting the candidature of Raila

Odinga, Narc recognises his commitment to

reform, his passion for change and his

commitment to social democracy” she said.

"Goldenberg gave birth to Anglo leasing which transformed itself

to Mamlukis (mercenaries), to Mungiki and now Chinkororo."
