Admissions – How to Apply

Step One: Qualifications Successful applicants would normally have achieved a qualification in preparation for study at degree level: •  Art and Design Foundation Diploma or equivalent

•  Three A levels at grades B,B,C (or A,B,B without Art and Design Foundation Diploma)

•  At least five GCSEs (or equivalent) including English Language

and Mathematics at grade C or above

Step Two: Portfolio •  personal website (Tumblr)

•  up to 20 images organised into coherent projects •  exploring creative ideas

•  demonstrating artistic interests and influences

•  Include short critical essay

Step Three: Interview If invited for interview, please be prepared to demonstrate: •  knowledge of the course and its context

•  awareness of current art and photographic practices

•  ability to discuss your work and its development

•  willingness to engage with photography through written work

•  enthusiasm for working in groups and independently

Step Three: Interview (continued)

•  involves discussion of printed work

•  bring portfolio box or book

•  project work coherently organised

•  exploring and visualising ideas

•  between 10 and 20 images
