What is Podcasting?

Podcasting is online audio content delivered “anytime” the listener wishes to access the content

What is needed?

Profcast

Profcast is a VERY simple recording tool for turning PowerPoint presentations into Podcasts.

Aside from being very easy to use, Profcast is also VERY affordable.

Just a Few Simple Steps to Create a Podcast in Profcast

GarageBand 09

• Simple to use for an Audio Podcast (mp3)

• Allows creation of an enhanced podcast using chapter markers and exported in the .m4a format

GarageBand for Podcasting

Select Podcast and proceed

Naming

Make sure you KNOW where the master file is located!

GarageBand Interface

Media Browser Can easily select photos from loaded images

Add Chapter Markers

•Insert images

•Adjust image timeline to match audio content

Recording Audio

Select the track to be recorded, in this case the Male Voice is selected and the audio recording is enabled (Red button)Note: For audio only tracks, make sure the metronome feature is disabled.

Now the master recording can begin.

Ready to Export All Enhanced Chapter markers are in place and audio is recorded.

The raw data can be exported as a podcast to iTunes or a podcast to disk.
