International Container Transhipment Terminal

• Quay Length 1800 metres• Depth Alongside 16 metres• Max Draft 14.5 Meters• Max LOA 350 meters

THE LNG TERMINAL & RE-GASSIFICATION PLANTA 5 MMTPA LNG Terminal will be commissioned in June, 2012A 1,200 MW R-LNG based Power Plant is being developed on Port land Cryogenic warehousing is being planned.

BPCL-Kochi Refinery – Cochin Port

BPCL has a 9.5 MMTPA Refinery at Cochin. This is being expanded by 6 MMTPA and will be commissioned in 4 years time.There is already an SBM 20 km into the sea. The impact on throughput at Cochin Port is as follows:

Cochin Port has 14 Tank Farms with 267,000 KL capacity.

The Port aims to evolve as a major bunkering Port riding on the advantage of the huge coastal refinery

Facilities are being augmented to handle parcel sizes of 40,000 tonnes.

A 35 acre Tank Farm Park with a berth for deep drafted vessels is also being developed

• Currently 50 odd Foreign Cruise vessels call every year• A Cruise Facilitation Centre is in the works

Investment Opportunities in Logistics

• A 102 acre FTWZ has been approved by the Commerce Ministry for development as a logistics hub

• This will be tendered for development in PPP mode in 3 months

Investment Opportunities in a Ship Repair Yard

• Developing a Ship Repair Yard on 45 acres with 850 metres waterfront

• Adequate scope for catering to repairs for ships up to Handysize (> 27000 GRT) with LOA up to 150m and OSVs / PSVs / AHTs with LOA up to 120m

Investment Opportunities in Hotelling

• Cochin Port already has hotels by the Taj Group, Trident and Casino

• A 26 acre property is being developed by Grand Hyatt

• Cochin Port is tendering another 57 acre plot for development as a convention centre and star hotel
