the basic assumptions of PM…

1. Sound understanding of project purpose, scope and outcomes during the initiation phase will ensure effective project execution.

2. Collectively the analysis of risk, cash-flow, resource intensiveness, and capital budgeting should enable accurate decision-making on the viability of any project.

3. Project planning is effective if it clearly indicates the dependency relationship between task, time, authority, energy and capital.

basic assumptions of PM (cont…)

4. Effective project execution is dependent on accurate planning and constant evaluation.

5. Summative evaluation in the form of a project closure report is only valuable if learning during the project is internalised.

6. Projects are executed by people, thus interpersonal skills is crucial in effective delivery of any project.
