Special characteristics and behaviour that protect animals from danger are :

a) Sharp spines• can frighten and hurt enemies• examples : porcupines,

b) Hard Scales• protect animals from being hurt by enemies.• examples : pangolin, crocodiles

c) Hard shell• animals hide in the shell when they are

attacked by enemies.• examples : snail, tortoise

d) Poisonous sting• can hurt and kill enemies.• examples : scorpions, centipedes

e) Produce a bad smell• cause enemies to stay away from enemies.• examples : bed bug, skunk

f) Curls up the body• enemies cannot open and eat the animals easily.• examples : millipede, armadillo
