Habitat• Live on dry grasslands• Savannahs of Africa• The weather is warm and dry

Food and Water• Like to munch on acacia• Don’t have to eat water often• The leaves they eat contains enough

moister to satisfy their thirst

Family Structure• Members of the family know as

giraffiadae• Give birth to a calf every 20 months

Day to Day Life• The younger play fight so when they're

older they take it seriously

Interesting Facts• Are ruminants, just like cows, sheep

and camels• They fight with each other so who

ever wins gets the female
