stalactite formations , bear fossils - Ursus spelaeus - a

species which disappeared more than 15,000 years ago.

The Carpathians cross the territory of seven countries: Austria, Cthezech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Romania and Serbia.The highest peak in the Romanian territory is Moldoveanu with 2544 meters height.
