CHAIRPERSONS MESSAGE

DOGS NSW Spring Fair Dog Show Committee has requested the pleasure of The Hon Tanya Davies, BAppSc (Phty) MP State Member for Mulgoa Minister for Mental Health, Minister for Women and Minister for Ageing to officially open the 2018 Spring Fair Dog Show at 12.30pm on Saturday 1 September 2018. We offer Tanya a warm welcome and our sincere gratitude for the support and assistance that she has extended to us over many years.

On behalf of the Committee of the DOGS NSW Royal Canin International Spring Fair 2018, I extend a warm welcome to our distinguished panel of International Judges. We trust you will enjoy the hospitality of our beautiful country and delight in the opportunity to adjudicate on some of our wonderful dogs. The Spring Fair Dog Show is traditionally the premier event on the Dogs NSW Show calendar and we trust you will enjoy your time with us.

There are so many people to be thanked, but primarily, the exhibitors - Thank you for your entries and support, without exhibitors there would not be a show! We wish you every possible success and a most enjoyable weekend. Our motto for this year is – “We are here to assist you.” The atmosphere we wish to engender is one of friendliness and mutual camaraderie and to celebrate all that we have in common – the love of our Dogs!

Many thanks to all our sponsors for their support. Our major sponsor Royal Canin, a global leader in pet nutrition. Royal Canin has again been most generous and we are very appreciative of their ongoing support. We welcome back Plush Puppy, who likewise have been very generous with their support, providing prizes for all classes across all three Shows. Please don’t forget to visit the Royal Canin stand and the Plush Puppy stand to discuss your dog’s requirements with their representatives. Welcome, also to all our casual Vendors and thank you for your support. I encourage everyone to visit them.

My most sincere thanks to my DOGS NSW Spring Fair Dog Show Committee for all your work to make this wonderful event possible. Also, to Tom Couchman for his dedication to the management of the Show Office and in the delivery of an excellent catalogue. The Staff of Dogs NSW, in particular Stephanie Lynch and also Tom Couchman for their dedication to bringing our online entry system to fruition. This year’s Spring Fair has brought a new set of challenges in the form of our first CACIB Show for many years but across the board everyone has worked tirelessly to ensure that all goes smoothly.

This event also requires a number of additional volunteers who also work tirelessly to contribute to all aspects of the shows. The Chief Steward and Stewards without whose help our shows would not be possible. The Spring Fair subcommittee that are involved in all the odd jobs this weekend and to our BBQ cooks who will be very busy on Sunday afternoon cooking away, your assistance is much appreciated.

On behalf of the Committee of the DOGS NSW Royal Canin International Spring Fair 2018, thank you one and all for your ongoing support. We wish you a happy and successful showing weekend, safe journey and look forward to seeing you again for the 2019 Spring Fair Show.
