Environmental Management• The RFT will contain expectations for Contractor
environmental management.• Projects with a high risk of environmental impact
will have specific requirements:– Environmental Management Plan (EMP);– Erosion and Sediment Control Plans (ESCP); – Weed Management Plans (WMP); and– Cultural Heritage Restrictions (Refer AAPA).
Minimising Environment Impact
Environmental Approvals• DoI intent is to have relevant environmental approvals in
place for all projects:– Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA);– Land Council;– Impact Statement; and– Notice of Intent
• DoI Environment Services available at all periods of the contract for advice regarding contract requirements

Safety Management Plan• Audit focus on ‘Construction Projects’
– Projects value $250,000 or >– Review of plans to confirm compliance to
tender and contract requirements.• DoI intent is to support positive safety
outcomes for all key stakeholders.
