Do you have a Project that shows well?

Has the project received an award? -AND/OR- Does the

project have features that represent the variety of work

you do?

Has (or will) the project been completed between January

1, 2014 and March 1, 2017 and meet a minimum price

range of $30,000?

Is the project located within Northeast Ohio?

Is access convenient via major streets and/or

highways? Is there adequate parking available

at the site?

Will the homeowners be open to having

consumers visit their home?

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR PROJECT

Tips to Get a Willing,

Satisfied Homeowner

Choose a homeowner with whom you had good rapport and

experience

Let them know their home has been “specially selected” to

be among other prestigious remodeled projects being

showcased in Northeast Ohio.

Remodeled Home will receive area-wide media recognition

Cleveland Magazine

They will help you market your talents and expertise to gain

new business

This opportunity is at absolutely NO COST to the homeowner

TIPS TO GET A WILLING,

SATISFIED HOMEOWNER

ADDITIONAL TIPS

Offer cleaning services both before and after the Tour.

Offer to Stage their home to prepare the area for public

viewing

Assure the homeowner their home will be in good hands

• You, the contractor, are fully insured

• Only the remodeled area will be part of the tour – other areas will

be blocked off

• You will provide floor protection to eliminate traffic wear

Let them know these tours are held throughout

the country

Invite the homeowner to participate in the Showcase if they

would feel comfortable speaking to visitors

Staffing Solutions

Always have someone at the entrance to make a great first

impression (greeting guests, collecting tickets/contact info

If it’s a large project, try to have someone in every room

being shown

• Have “BEFORE” photos available in each room so people can

see the difference

• Consider having a point of entry at the front door, and a point

of egress from another door

Suppliers who have materials featured in the remodel

project are often happy to provide staff for the tour and

information about the products.

Sponsors and service partners (i.e. your banking lender)

may be willing to provide staff who also leave information

about financing remodeling projects

STAFFING SOLUTIONS

Advertise the Tour on your website and social media outlets

Work with your vendors to have them also advertise on their

website, social media outlets and client list

Consider sending out invitations to the neighbors and client
