PAIN COMES OUT OF EMOTIONAL MISMANAGEMENT NOT FATE

• Emotion is Time Bound

• Intensity depends on the event

• Emotions are even forgotten

DO NOT TAKE PERMENANT DECISIONS BASED ON TEMPRERARY EMOTIONS

HOW TO CONTROL OUR EMOTIONS (FACT METHOD)

• Freeze to Understand – (Pause = Freeze)

• Apply to Manage – (Apply your brain)

• Act to Control – (Nothing is good when it is not under our control)

• Tact for your advantage – (Not hurting self or anyone)

BRAIN AND EMOTIONS

• Thinking’ brain stops

• When Emotional brain is very active!

• Thinking brain is slow to react

• Emotional Brain is very quick to react!

• Thinking brain tell you what you did in anger is wrong!!

• Emotional Brain feels very guilty for it

EXERCISE 1: GET VERY EMOTIONAL - NOW

• Based on a recent event in which you got very upset or angry!

• Try to get the same emotional intensity now!

Mantra No 1: Anything done with emotional involvement will progress!

How to develop Emotional Involvement?• Desire

• Clear Goals

• Efforts

• Open Minded thinking – [accepting criticisms and negative feedback about performance]

Mantra 2: Relationships are far more important than we think! Emotional clarifications, corrections and support comes out of relationships.

There cannot be personality growth without relationships!

Invest time in relationships

Respecting all forms of relationships from the very young to the elderly!

Mantra 3: Life is enhanced by experiences not by purchases

• Look at life deeper – car is fun but what we do travelling from ‘Point A to Point B’ is very important

• Experiences influenced by higher cause: Spirituality, Social Work, Reaching out to the sick and disabled etc.

Mantra 4: Live interactions face to face is enriching than constant online interactions!

Mantra 5: Remove negativity from the mind and live one day at a time!

Past does not exist

Present should not be influenced by the past

Imagine a flower pot – flower blossoms - then withers away and becomes a manure – then contributes to the growth of the plant.

Mantra 6: Seek love where you can find them!Constantly seeking love from where it is not coming can be very humiliating experience!

Expectation that children or grand children should love may not happen – so love those who love you.

Love may not be expressed in the way you want! Expression of love differs between male and females, adult and children, young and old!

Mantra 7: Never Say No to Sex!

Affects the inter-personal relationship between husband and wife!

Creates room for unnecessary relationships and affairs!

Creates frustration and depression

Conclusion

Emotions have to be under our control!

Right or wrong express your emotions whenever possible with a friend who can help.

Do not expect others to satisfy your emotional needs!
