Tehran Conference

● Meeting in Tehran, Iran between the Big Three: US President FDR, British Prime Minister Churchill, and Soviet Premier Stalin.

● Coordinated their military strategies against Germany and Japan

● Discussed issues involving the fate of Germany and Eastern Europe during the postwar period

Yalta Conference

● Meeting took place in a Russian resort town between the Big Three.

● Important decisions were made about the progress of the war and postwar conditions

● Stalin agreed to join the war effort in the Pacific if he could have influence in Manchuria once Japan surrendered

Potsdam Conference

● Meeting held in Potsdam, Germany by the Big Three; Churchill was later replaced by Clement Attlee and Truman took FDR’s place

● Negotiated specific terms of the war● Most important issue was how to handle Germany once the

military purposes
