Practical tips to say No:

• IN STRESS:

• 1. Meditate

• 2. Breathe Deeply

• 3. Be Present

• 4. Reach Out

• 5. Tune In to Your Body

• IN ALCOHOL

• 1. Keep alcohol out of your house.• 2. Don't drink when you're feeling bad.• 3. Slow down your sipping.• 4. Stop going to bars as often• 5. Do activities that don't involve

drinking.• 6. Hang out with people who don't drink• 7. Take up exercising. • 8. Write down your commitment.

• IN DRUGS

• 1. Make a list of the harmful effects of your addiction.

• 2. Write down the positive changes you'll see when you quit.

• 3. Write down your reasons for quitting.

• 4.Seek support from friends and family.

• 5.Figure out what triggers your drug use.

• 6. Makeover your space so you have a fresh start.

• 7. Turn to your reasons for quitting when temptation arises.

• 8. Relieve your stress in healthy ways

• 9. Focus on building a new life.

NON PRESCRIBED DRUGS

• 1. Don’t self medicate

• 2. Don’t apply the medications of other people

• 3. Check up is really a necessary

• 4. Moderation is still needed.

ON SMOKING

• S = Set a quit date.• T = Tell family, friends, and co-workers

that you plan to quit.• A = Anticipate and plan for the

challenges you'll face while quitting.• R = Remove cigarettes and other

tobacco products from your home, car, and work.

• T = Talk to your doctor about getting help to quit.

ON OVER EATING

• 1. Reprogram your mind• 2. Remove as many processed

foods from your pantry or food storage as possible.

• 3. Try to eat when you start feeling hungry

• 4.Always relax before you start eating.• 5.Drink a glass of water• 6. If you feel still a little bit hungry after

this, stop anyway
