From the Principal’s desk…
Who can believe it’s the end of Week 9 already!
Yesterday we held our annual Easter Hat
Parade. The students had obviously spent
hours making their hats in class, which all
looked fantastic! I’m pleased that I did not
have the job of judging the hats!
Congratulations to those students who
received a prize for either their hat or in the
colouring competition. Well done to P&C who
ran a great raffle, with 35 Easter egg prizes,
yum! With Easter here this weekend, students
and staff are all looking forward to a well-
earned break.
Our PSSA AFL team are playing in Parkes
today in the Western PSSA AFL competition.
The boys also have the opportunity to trial for
the Western PSSA AFL team. We look forward
to hearing about their day when they return.
Next week we have some major works
happening at school with the roof on the
Science Lab and Secondary Staffroom being
replaced. The old tiles will be removed and
replaced with corrugated iron. Science classes
have been timetabled to other classrooms and
the Secondary Staff will find a new home for
the week. There will be much action and noise,
however we plan for minimal disruption to
learning.
Next Thursday night is the P&C disco, with
more information further in the newsletter.
Students are all encouraged to come along to
dance and support our P&C.
We’d like to remind families that daylight
savings ends this Sunday 1st April. Clocks will
be wound back at 3am on Sunday morning. We
hope you enjoy your extra hour of sleep!
Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter!
Until next week

Well done to all students for all the hard work and creativity they put into the construction of their Easter Hats. Being a judge would have been incredibly difficult. Congratulations to students who received Home Reading Awards. Home reading is so important and it was great to see so many students earn books for their efforts. Have a happy, safe Easter.
Good luck to all students competing at the AFL knockout in Parkes today. I am sure they are having a great time, displaying excellent sportsmanship and doing their best. .

YEAR 5/6 LIZARDS
When most of our class were on an AFL excursion we decided to do something different. We researched lizards and
wrote some great reports. Then we decided to make some lizards. It was difficult to begin with but we persevered
and were very happy with our little creatures. Mrs James
