Where do people spend their time today?

Source: ComScore, May 2014

• 51% of all digital time is spent on apps

• 60% on mobile devices – up from 50% just 12 months ago

Zeel 1.0

• Desktop and content heavy

• Focused on time on site

• Not mobile first or mobile friendly

Information-rich but not actionable

• In-depth profiles on massage and other wellness techniques

• Deep bios on therapists so our customers could do extensive research

• Not transaction friendly

The result?

• We were bombarded by customers texting us from their mobile devices asking for massage that very day, often in a few hours

• We – and the massage industry as a whole – weren’t set up for it

Missing Massages

• We sat down and realized that there were millions of missing massages out there

• 55% of all customers wanted massage within 4 hours

• Most spas’ last appointment is at 8 pm, but customers want massages right before bed time 25% of the time

• It was time for Zeel to go mobile – so we launched the Massage On Demand app

The Zeel app

• Customers choose between Swedish, deep tissue, and prenatal massage

• They choose the gender of their therapist, duration of the appointment, and location

Safety + Trust

• We verify the identity of our customers via our partner Experian in less than 30 seconds

• All of our therapists are personally vetted by Zeel team members

Office chair massage

• We also do corporate massage with a therapist who brings a massage chair to the office

• Just like our in-home customers, staffers can use the Zeel app to pick a time

• Over 100 corporate customers

Acquiring Zeel Customers: Facebook

• Target by demos on Facebook and Google

• Via FB, can target age, gender, iOS or Android, and certain “likes”

Sharing Zeel

• Tap into the power of viral mobile marketing by having our customers refer other customers, all by mobile

• Text, email, FB, or tweet

Thank you!
