Time set aside in registration or lessons for pupils to read a book

In a Triple Literacy booklet, pupils write words they don’t know, and thenFrench and Welsh equivalents.

Pupils then challenged to use these new words in future lessons

Pupils are given a list of words that show some of the spelling sounds theywill encounter in French.

Incorporated as and when similar words arise during lessons

Pupils more able and confident to read aloud in class
