Throughout history children have been notorious for always seeking adventure. Looking from the 1930s till now one can see the many changes and similarities in the toys that these children once loved.

Childhood Adventure from the 1930s till now

Tree houses have been a part of many children’s lives from the 1930s till now. This tree house is a simple dwelling consisting of a door, windows, a roof and a ladder.

As time has progressed tree houses have evolved from the simple design to one with any number of additional features. This one has a slide and balcony.

A girl’s first doll could have been made of paper.

Or she could have had a doll she made from rags in her own home.

A girl’s doll today would mostly likely come from a store. A doll that would be made of plastic, fabric clothes, and synthetic hair.

For boys it was not dolls that they liked so much but instead little green army men. Starting out as simple clay soldiers these figures would soon change.

Army men went from simple to more complex. These new soldiers could now twist and turn and strike a pose!

As technology grew, those toy figures went from 3D to video, causing these army men to come to life like never before.

With a tire swing children could be guaranteed hours of fun. Just a tire, a rope, and a tree is all you needed.

Since then some things have changed but the main idea has stayed the same.

Over time things have changed but one thing stays the same, adventure is adventure so let your mind wander free and let adventure be what you seek.
