• Justification: We have chosen this story because there are interesting and motivating topics to work with: food, animals and the days of the week.
• Preschool: P4-P5• Methodology:The use of a story as a starting
point. Songs, TPR and learn by doing activities.
• Sequence: 5 sessions
TODAY IS MONDAY
OBJECTIVES AND CAPABILITIES
• To follow the daily routines 2, 3, 9• To know the food: green beans, spaghetti,
soup, roast beef, fish, chicken, ice cream 5• To know the animals: hedgehog, snake,
elephant, cat, bird, fox, monkey, parrot. 5• To listen to the story. 9• To act and sing the song. 1, 5• To act out the story. 1, 5
SESSION 1
• MAGIC BOX:
The teacher introduces the animals with the help of a magic box.
What is it?
Is it a cat?
Is it a turtle?
SESSION 2• INTERACTIVE STORY TIME
The teacher tells the story with the help of the students using flashcards.

• PASS THE PARCEL

The teacher tells the story with puppets.

Make a necklace.
SESSION 5
• REVIEW THE VOCABULARY
The group-class repeat after the teacher,the vocabulary that appears in the form of power-point on the digital white board.
REVIEW THE SONG
The group-class sings the song that leaving an animal at a time.
Eventually the group sings the song without any animal.
ACT OUT PLAY
Divide the group-class into two groups.
Each group will have fourteen students.
Seven will make an animals and seven will show a sign the days of the week.
Each student who does an animal, bring a distinctive.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
• Children are able to follow the daily routines: hello, feeling corner, clean up, sit down, circle time, bye, bye
• Children are able to say the food of the story.• Children identify the animals and the food.• They are able to sit down and listen to a story
quietly and attentively. • They are able to act and sing the song.• They are able to perform the story.
