The town mouse woke up from a dream about a cat prowling around the kitchen. He decided that he
needed to go on a vacation. He wanted to take his wife to the country where he grew up. They packed

It was dark when the country mice and his wife arrived in town. They tiptoed inside and fell asleep in
what they thought was a bed. When they awoke they saw a cloud of smoke over them and they heard
loud voices saying, “Sauces and ham, it’s hungry I am.” The country mouse asked his wife, “Who do you
think it is?”

The town mice stood quietly after the black bird scare. His wife thought she had lost him forever. As
they look around it was quite peaceful. The country was actually beautiful, but his wife missed the
hustle and bustle of town. She felt alone, at least she knew what to expect in their town home.

The country mice knew not to go out in a thunderstorm and they knew what to expect from the hungry
owl. They found that there were different dangers after being caught in the cheese box. She wouldn’t
dare try to take another piece of cheese, so her husband sneaked around and reached for some blue
cheese, only to get slapped and thrown across the room.

Back on the road the cat and the owl knocked each other out when they collided head-on. The cat
touched his bruises and the owl brushed himself off. The cat said to the owl, how would you like to
trade places with me, I always wanted to try the simple life in the country.
