ThefollowingstepswillhelpyougetupandrunningwithyournewZodiacTRiChlorinegenerator.

PosiTioninG The PoWeR PaCK

1. Locateasuitablespaceforthepowerpackbracket.Itshouldbeinstallednofurtherthan1.8metresawayfromthecell-ideallyinafiltrationshedorclosetothefiltrationequipment.

PLEASENOTE:iffixingtoapostitmusthaveawaterproofpanelfitted(behindtheunit),atleast450mmwideand470mmhigh.

2. Usingscrewsprovided,fastenthebracketsecurelytothewallandpositionthepowerpackonthebracket.Plugintopowerpoint,butdon’tturnonthepower.

PLEASENOTE:Thecellshouldalwaysbethelastdeviceplacedonthewaterpipe(Inthereturnlinetothepool).

3. Ensurethecellisplacedhorizontally,withtheInletpipeconnectingtothefittingclosesttothecelllead.

4. Usingscrewbarrelfittings(supplied),attachthecelltothepipe.Ifusing40mmpipe,youwillneedtofitthecellusingthereducingbushes(alsosupplied).

5. Whenconnectingtheleadfromthepowerpacktothecellmatchupthecorrespondingcoloursandpins,thenfittheendcap.

(Note:EitherREDwirecanbeconnectedtoeitherREDpinontheelectrode.)

6. PlugyourpoolpumpintotheoutletsocketinthebottomoftheTRi(thiswillallowtheTRitimertocontrolthefiltrationtimes)

7. OnceallconnectionsaretogetherpressthemainspowerswitchtoON.

TheZodiacTRichlorinegeneratorcomeswithtwoinbuilttimersthatswitchthefiltrationandchlorinationsystemonandoffasrequired.

Duringswimmingseason,considerrunningthesystemforaround8hoursaday.Thiscanbeincreasedto10hoursduringperiodsofveryhotweather.

Inwinter,itmayonlybenecessarytorunyourpool’sfiltrationsystemfor4hoursaday.Theseshorterperiodsofactivitywilllengthenthelifeoftheunit’selectrode.

Forbestyearroundresults,settheunittooperateduringthecoolerhoursoftheearlymorning,eveningorwhenswimmersareusingthepool.

Toactivatethetimer,youwillneedtoenterbothanONandOFFtime.IfnoOFFtimeisentered,thechlorinegeneratorwillswitchoffatthedefaulttimeof12:00am(0:00).

1. Removesilver‘dress’coverbypressinginatthesideswhereindicatedbelowandlift.

In‘TIMER’mode,thecirculationpumpwillrunfor24hours,beforeautomaticallyrevertingtopreviousoutput/timersettings.

In‘MANUAL’mode,thechlorinegeneratorwillrunat100%foracumulativetotalof24hoursbeforerevertingtothepreviousoutputsetting.

The‘BOOST’modecannotbeengagedunderthefollowingcurcumstances:

TokeepyourTRiUnitinthebestpossibleconditionitisrecommendedregularmaintenanceshouldbeperformed.

InareasthatexperiencecalciumhardnesstheTRielectrodewillbenefitfromcleaning.

Tocleanyourelectrode:

1. Switchoffthefilterpumpandchlorinegenerator,closenecessaryvalvesandunplugthecellterminalcap.

2. Unscrewtheretainingringandremovetheelectrode.Ifcalciumbuildupispresent,immersetheelectrodeincellcleaningsolutionwithoutimmersingtheterminals.

3. WerecommendusingZodiacSaltChlorinatorCellCleanertocleantheelectrode.Howeveryoucanmixyourownbycarefullyaddingone(1)partofHydrochloric(Muriatic)acidtoten(10)partswater.Strongersolutionswillshortenterminallife.

4. Allowthecleaningsolutiontodissolvethecalciumdepositsforabout10minutes.DisposeofthecleaningsolutionatanapprovedCouncilDepotandneverintostormwaterorsewagedrains.

6. Rinsetheelectrodeincleanwaterandre-fittheelectrodeinthecellhousing.

7. Replacethecellheadandplugassemblyandresetvalvesandswitches.TurnpumpandTRion.

8. Confirmchlorineoutputandsettingsonthepowerpack.Timersettingswillbeautomaticallyretained.

Zodiac chlorinators are designed and tested in accordance withInternational Standard EN 61000-6-1 immunitymeasurements. Theyaredesignedtotolerateminorfluctuations(2000volts)inpowersupplythatcanbereasonablyexpectedtooccurintheenergygrid.Theywillnottoleratepowersurgesoutsidetheselimitsnorwilltheywithstandlightningstrikes.

4 Withoutlimiting3above,productssoldbyZodiacAustraliaaredesignedforusewithswimmingpoolwaterbalancedinaccordancewithAustralianStandardAS3633-1989withapHrangeof7.0-7.8.Maximumchlorinereadingsshouldnotexceed4ppm.Wherepoolwaterisnotmaintainedwithintheseparameters,ZodiacAustraliawillnotberesponsibleunderthisexpresswarrantyforanyresultingdamage,includingdamagecausedbycorrosion,scalingorstressloading.

5 Replacementpartssuppliedunderthisexpresswarrantyarewarrantedtobefreefromdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipfortheremainderofthewarrantyperiodorfor12monthsfromthesupplyofthereplacement,whicheverislonger.

6 WarrantyclaimsrelatingtoreplacementoftheelectrodesforLMseries,Cseries,DuoClearandDserieschlorinatorsaresubjecttothefollowingpro-ratapricingprocedure.ThePurchasermustpayforthereplacementelectrodeaproportionofthecostequaltothatproportionofthewarrantyperiod duringwhich theoriginal electrode functioned effectively. 3. PlacethelowerpartofPODclampupsidedownintopositionontheselectedlengthofpiping

4. Nowmarkthelocationofthe2holestobemadeintopipingusingapencilormarker(picture2).

5. Drillthe2holesusingtheprovidedholesaw.Ensurethatholesareperfectlysmootharoundtheedges(picture3).

6. PositiontheupperpartofPODclampbyslidingitintothe2previouslydrilledholes(picture4).

8. FitthePODcapontopofupperPODclamp,re-fitlockingringandtightenfirmlyusingprovidedtool.

9. InstallthepHsensorbyfirmlyscrewingintothePODcap.

10.ConnectthesensorswiththeprovidedcabletotheappropriatesocketsontheTRipowerpack.

3. Leavethesensorimmersedinthesolutionforaminimumof30secondstosettle.

4. Fromthedefaultoperatingscreen,press .

3 This expresswarranty does not apply in the followingcircumstances:(a)iftheProducthasnotbeeninstalledinaccordancewith

Zodiac’sinstallationinstructions;(b)if the Product has been modified other than as

authorisedbyZodiacAustraliaorifacomponentparthasbeenreplacedbyapartthatisnotagenuineZodiacproduct;

(c)if a defect results fromuse of the Product outsiderecommendedoperatingconditions;or

(d)ifadefectresultsfromdamage(includingdamagetoanyinternalelectronics)causedbyapowersurgeorlightningstrike.

Zodiacchlorinatorsaredesignedandtestedinaccordancewith International Standard EN 61000-6-1 immunitymeasurements. They are designed to tolerateminorfluctuations (2000 volts) in power supply that can bereasonablyexpectedtooccur intheenergygrid. Theywillnottoleratepowersurgesoutsidethese limitsnorwilltheywithstandlightningstrikes.

4 Withoutlimiting3above,productssoldbyZodiacAustraliaaredesignedforusewithswimmingpoolwaterbalancedinaccordancewithAustralianStandardAS3633-1989withapHrangeof7.0-7.8.Maximumchlorinereadingsshouldnotexceed4ppm.Wherepoolwaterisnotmaintainedwithin these parameters, ZodiacAustraliawill not beresponsibleunderthisexpresswarrantyforanyresultingdamage,includingdamagecausedbycorrosion,scalingorstressloading.

5 Replacementpartssuppliedunderthisexpresswarrantyarewarrantedtobe free fromdefects inmaterialsandworkmanshipfortheremainderofthewarrantyperiodor for 12months from the supply of the replacement,whicheverislonger.

6 Warrantyclaimsrelatingtoreplacementoftheelectrodesfor LM series, C series, Duo Clear and D serieschlorinatorsaresubjecttothefollowingpro-ratapricingprocedure.ThePurchasermustpayforthereplacementelectrodeaproportionofthecostequaltothatproportionof the warranty period during which the originalelectrode functioned effectively. Thewarranty periodfor the replacement electrode is the remainder of thewarrantyperiodfortheoriginalelectrodeor12monthsfromthesupplyofthereplacement,whicheverislonger.The Purchasermust pay full cost for any replacementelectrodesafterthefirstreplacement.
