Pipelock for hook, closed

Link between lifeboat and davit

Locking arm for linkTo open hook, torsion arm must be pushed 130degree, normally this is done by teleflexcable connected to a release unit placed near by the helmsman’s seat

When torsion arm is turned to open position, pipelock will open and hook is free to release, (see next slide)

During training and maintenance on boat and hook, extra safety pin is used to secure the hook in closed position
