designers are trained to think and find solutions to complex problems using creativity.

we can visualize solutions and predict emotional and even physical reactions.

for years experts said that the human body was simply not capable of running a mile (1.6km) in 4 minutes.

On May 6, 1954, Roger Bannister ran the distance in 3:59.4.

the 4 min mile

once you stop believing something is impossible, it becomes possible.

breaking your own 4 minute barrier using creativity

Phase 1: Observation*

observing the end-user, learning, and being open to creative possibilities. understanding the people you’re designing for, Identify patterns of behavior and pain points

Phase 2: Ideation

talk to your dog.

Phase 3: Rapid Prototyping

build a simple prototype of your idea to test with the end-user for a feedback.Don’t try to build something fancy.

“The only way a side project will work is if people give themselves permission to think simple, to change their minds, to fail — basically, to not take them too seriously,”

TOBIAS van Schneider

Phase 4: User Feedback

Get your simple prototype into the hands of the people you Are designing for.Without input from your end-user you won’t know if your solution is on target or how to evolve

your design.

Phase 5: Iteration

use THE FEEDBACK TO MAKE changes to your design AND KEEP IN MIND THAT With each iteration you’ll learn something new until you’ve fine tuned your solution aND it’s ready to be used.

Phase 6: Implementation

It’s time to get out into the world.
