Power BI Report Builder – Used for creating paginated reports (like a traditional report that can be multiple pages long)

Power BI Report Server – On on-premise report server where you can store reports

Report Builder requires a Power BI Premium license to share reports in the Power BI service

Connecting Power BI to Solver

Steps for Connecting

From the Solver side …

Go to the Data Warehouse >> Configuration >> API section

Select one or more modules

Note: Any dimensions used with the module will be available in Power BI

Steps for Connecting

• From the Power BI side …

• Select Get Data

• Search for Solver

• Get the URL API from the API page in Solver

• Paste it in the box

Select the dimensions & modules you want to use

Select Transform Data to create new measures, columns, & other tasks

Select Load to pull the data into Power BI
